Classes
 
Classes will be limited to a maximum of 15 students per session. Classes are scheduled during the evening, Shiatsu Therapy - 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm, Anatomy & Physiology - 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
 
The total length of the course is 200 hours, including:

  • 80 hours of Anatomy & Physiology
  • 120 hours Theory and Practice of Shiatsu Therapy

Holidays observed are as follows:

  • New Year's Day
  • Presidents' Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Fourth of July
  • Labor Day
  • Veteran's Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas

Tuition And Fees
 

Tuition (200 hours; including lab & books) $4,500 
Registration Fee (non-refundable) $100
Total $4,800


 

 

 

Schedule Of Charges
 
Upon enrollment, a registration fee (non-refundable) of $100.00 plus a deposit of $2150.00 will be required. This deposit is applicable only for the semester for which the deposit is made. Balance of payments must be made prior to commencement of classes. Checks should be made payable to the Aisen Shitatsu School.
 
Refund Policy 

To cover administrative cost, and to assure the student a place in class, only those students withdrawing anytime up to a place in class, only those students withdrawing anytime up to one week prior to commencement of classes, will be refunded their tuition payments (less their registration fee of $100.00). Students who withdraw up to a week two of classes will be refunded their tuition less $1500.00 administrative cost and registration fee of $100.00 . No refunds will be made for withdrawals after the 10th day of classes.
 
Objective

The Aisen Shiatsu School emphasizes therapeutic effects of the stimulation of natural healing powers of the body. The course will teach the students the techniques of stimulation and rejuvenation by pressing various points on the body.

The course will provide the students instruction to assist them in qualifying for licensure as a massage therapist by Hawaii State Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs and the Board of Massage.

The purpose of the Aisen Shiatsu School is to produce skilled Shiatsu Therapists. Thereby the people of Hawaii may be assured of receiving an effective therapeutic Shiatsu massage.

Graduation

Minimum graduation requirements are as follows:

  • Attendance: 90% including make-up classes
  • Anatomy & Physiology: 75% cumulative score
  • Therapeutic Muscle & Nerve Shiatsu:
    75% on first practical examination
    85% on final practical examination
